Parkview Elementary School has a Two-Way Dual Language Immersion Program! What does this mean? We have classes in which students spend 50% of their day receiving instruction in English and the other 50% receiving instruction in Spanish. The students have two teachers and see both teachers each day. Students not only learn how to read, write, speak, and listen in English and Spanish, but they also learn history/ social-science, science, and math in one or the other language, depending on the grade level. Our program starts in Kindergarten and connects with the junior high program at E.O. Green so students may be in the dual program through eighth grade. Our program is open to all students who are interested and benefits all students. The goals of dual language immersion are to develop students who are bilingual, biliterate, and socio-culturally competent. If you have any questions about our program, call to speak with the principal or assistant principal or stop by the office! ¡Somos orugllosamente bilingües!
